About this Event
The roundtable will address the role of purpose in scaling up businesses. There is growing evidence that businesses that adopt a purpose approach to growth and profitability are becoming attractive to investors. There is, however, a lack of certainty in how best to address:
· How purpose can enhance productivity.
· How to balance purpose with financial pressures during scale-up
· Investor perspectives of purpose in business
· Long-term value of purpose for resilience and sustainability
The roundtable will bring together leading experts from business, investment, policy, and research to consider these areas for Q&A and wider discussion. The outputs from the event include a policy and investment briefing paper and will inform a purpose and productivity toolkit that is under development for Spring 2025.

The event will be hosted by Clare Reid, Director of Policy & Public Affairs at Prosper, who leads the Policy team and drives initiatives in government engagement, Peer Works, and Stemovators.
