The SBCC Chamber Winds concert is back! On Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m., SBCC Music will be hosting our FREE Chamber Winds concert at First United Methodist Church (305 E. Anapamu St in downtown SB).Eight unique ensembles will be performing that evening, all comprised of members of our own SBCC Music community:
- SBCC Trumpet Ensemble
- SBCC Flute Quartet
- SB Junior Trombone Choir
- Cabeceo Quintet (a woodwind quintet)
- Goodland Brass Quintet
- Duo Blast (a clarinet duet)
- Los Padres Sound Horn Quartet
- SBCC Trombone Choir
Each ensemble has picked their own musical literature, ranging from timeless classics to contemporary works.
And as a special grand finale, a combined brass choir will be performing Morton Lauridsen's "O Magnum Mysterium," plus a brand-new arrangement the holiday classic, "I Saw Three Ships," arranged by SBCC Professor Emeritus, Dr. Charles Wood III!
So please join us on Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church (on the corner of Garden St. and Anapamu St. in downtown SB)--it will be a truly wonderful evening!
