About this Event
The City of South Bend's Department of Innovation and Technology will host a series of trainings on using Excel. October's training will be open to individuals who have little to no experience manipulating data and worksheets in Excel. November's trainings will be open to individuals who have either taken October's Intro course, or individuals who are comfortable with Excel basics but would like to learn intermediate skills, like structuring data and creating pivot charts and tables. Finally, in December, we will host trainings for those who have either taken the Intermediate course, or individuals looking to learn more advanced Excel skills, like data cleaning and using nested formulas.
October's SB Academy Learning objectives:
- Understand the structure of an Excel document
- Modify worksheets by adding and deleting columns and rows
- Filter and sort data
- Enter data into Excel
- Use basic formulas to reference data in cells
- Understand different data types and how to change data type
- Modify worksheets by selecting and moving data
