Saying Goodbye to Fall. Women’s Community Hike
One last trail party before the season shifts.
Before fall makes its quiet exit, let’s gather on the trail to soak in the final bursts of color, breathe in the crisp air, and enjoy time together in nature.
This hike is all about connection, connecting with each other, with the outdoors, and with the season as it turns. It’s a cozy, low-pressure space to be in community and prep for the colder hikes ahead. Whether you’re a hiking newbie or a winter trail regular, you’re welcome here.
We’ll take this chance to:
• Practice layering for colder weather
• Chat about gear for winter hikes
• Move, laugh, and share space outside
Think of it as a farewell to fall and a soft launch into winter hiking.
Full gear checklist below, bring what you have, and feel free to reach out if you need help borrowing or finding something.

• Medium day pack (22–32L) with hip belt and chest strap, or a 22L running vest
• Beanie

• Moisture-wicking or wool sports bra
• Non-cotton base layer (synthetic or wool)

• Medium-weight moisture-wicking leggings or hiking pants
• One pair of wool socks
• Hiking boots or waterproof trail shoes
• Lightweight gloves or glove liners
Optional Clothing

Hydration & Snacks
• Water bladder or bottles (2–3L total)
• Electrolytes or salt chews
• Small bottle for electrolyte drink (during or after hike)
• Trail snacks (aim for ~100 calories per hour; fatty foods like nuts help keep the body warm)
• Small towel or bandana (optional)
• Ziplock bag for trash
Other Essentials
• Small personal medical kit
• Small pad to sit on (optional)
• Thermos of warm liquid
• Map of the trail: AllTrails downloaded to your phone + paper map
• Hiking poles
Shared Emergency Gear
I’ll bring these — just leave space in your pack for one shared item:
• Stove and fuel
• Pot and matches
• Tarp
• Sleeping mat
Whether you’re brand new to hiking or a seasoned trail pro, you’re welcome here. Let’s spend time outside together, swap stories, share knowledge, laugh a lot, and gently transition into winter with joy and intention.
Let me know if you’re in or if you need help with gear!
