About this Event
The Alaska Electronic Orchestra begins it's 2024-25 concert series supported in part by the Atwood Foundation and the Alaska State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, with a solo event Alaskan saxophone artist, composer and producer, Rick Zelinsky.
(www.IcyGrooves.com) Rick directs and performs on five saxophones, electronics and more with featured guest artists. Original compositions are a mixture of classical, jazz, electronic grooves, ambient and nature sounds and more. The concert also features the dazzling lighting effects of Dan Anteau and Both Ears Live Sound by Lucy Peckham. Sharlene Cline will also be a guest artist for January 26 and she'll be performing some like artwork along with our music.
All concerts performed and directed by Rick Zelinsky and are all are held at the following and featuring additional artists and themes.

December 8: 4pm@UAA Fine Arts Mainstage "The Darkening North" featuring Yngvil Vatn Guttu & Lena Lukina
January 26: 4pm@UAA Fine Arts Mainstage "Chi" featuring Yngvil Vatn Guttu & Sharlene Cline (visual artist)
February 23: 4pm@UAA Fine Arts Mainstage "Dreams" Rick Zelinsky on saxophones & Mark Manners on guitars.
March 30: 4pm@The Nave "Electric Bach" Rick Zelinsky meets Yngvil Vatn Guttu in presentation of new arrangements of J.S. Bach with acoustic and electronic instruments.
May 4: 4pm@UAA Fine Arts Mainstage "Outter Space!" go on a journey through the galaxy with Rick Zelinsky on 5 saxophones/electronics with Yngvil Vatn Guttu!
