The Saxophone Masters, an affiliate of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra, was founded in April 2020 to provide live music to the people of Manchester during the pandemic. Their broad repertoire is largely self-generated and listeners go home learning something new each time. The bands name derives from the fact that four of the musicians hold MA degrees in Music or Musicology.
