Do you enjoy the taste of gumbo and the sounds of zydeco? Well, this tour is for you! You’ll explore the African roots of these cultural customs and their connections to both Louisiana and Texas. You’ll visit some of southwest Louisiana’s best restaurants, its most important cultural and historical sites, and lodge at a beautiful Black-owned bed and breakfast.

Tour departs from Houston at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 30th at This Is It Soul Food Restaurant (Houston, Texas) and travels to Lafayette, Louisiana and various stops along the way. Tour returns to Houston, Texas at 8 p.m. (This Is Is Soul Food Restaurant) on Sunday, October 2nd.
Tour attendees may park in the This Is It parking lot and load the tour bus, and are encouraged to patron the restaurant upon tour conclusion.

Payment Information:
Total Tour Price: $950 (includes the price of six meals, lodging, and all entry fees)
Payment #1: Non-refundable deposit of $350 (this payment should be submitted through Eventbrite to confirm your spot on the tour)
Payment #2: $350 (This payment is due by June 30th. Those who've submitted the deposit will obtain the link to submit this payment.)
Payment #3: $250 (this payment is due by August 30th. Those who've submitted the deposit and second payment will obtain the link to submit this payment.)
Masks are required and you will be asked to complete a release form before the tour begins.

Please dress comfortably for light walking and appropriately for the weather. Bottled water will be provided.
There are no refunds for this tour unless it is cancelled.
Tours with low registrations will be cancelled and guests will be refunded.
