Alex works as an outreach mental health nurse and lives at home with her mother Maureen and stuffed cat Tuppence. With the support of her dear Uncle Padraig, she navigates the complex labyrinth of online dating. During a Tinder date with a spiritual yogi, she unexpectedly calls upon two guardian angels. These angels arrive in the form of her Irish ancestor Widow Keating and her beloved grandmother Geraldine McCarthy. The untimely return of the infamous ex Nick adds further fuel to the fire. Between the four of them they navigate Alex's rocky road of dating and desires. Together they share their tales of love and tragedy whilst offering a hilarious and bewildering journey into two turbulent centuries worth of life, love, and everything else!
