Come join us for a day of learning and support at Wake Technical Community College - East.

"Saving Ourselves: A First Responders Mental Health Movement".

Course description:

Join veteran first responder and educator Brad Lawson for a transformative workshop designed to address the unique mental health challenges faced by first responders and their families.

This five-hour session will explore critical topics, including understanding PTSD, the impact of the job on family relationships, how spouses can provide support during a crisis, and strategies for building stronger connections. Attendees will leave equipped with practical tools and resources to promote mental health and resilience within their families.

Speaker Biography:

Brad Lawson has dedicated over 25 years to serving as a first responder and 20 years as an educator, making him a leading voice in the field. As the Director of Practical Programs for Meducate, Inc., Brad is deeply committed to improving the mental health and work culture of first responders.

Drawing from his extensive experience and passion, he provides meaningful insights into the challenges faced by emergency personnel and their families, offering practical solutions to foster healing and growth.

Who Should Attend:

EMS, fire, police, telecommunications, chaplains, peer support team members, nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, and family members! (This is a free event for NC First Responders.
