The Duncan Pavilion is a much loved piece of Castlecliff and (as a dodecahedron) an iconic piece of mid century modern architecture that predates and serves as inspiration for the similar designs including WDC Council Chanbers (also by by renown atchitect Belchanbers) and the War Memorial Centre (both heritage listed). The seuivalent in Auckland "Ceramica House" is a Category One Heritage Building but The Duncan Pavilion must fight redular demolition "options/proposals?!!Yome along and lend your support to Progress Castlecliff's bid to get this amazing building recognised for the Heritage asset it is!
"Plan Change 63 - Heritage" - as the date gets closer we'll have a better idea of what time supporters need to be there - all we know at this time is the meeting starts at 9am in Council 101 Guyton Street and we will get the chance to speak to the need for this to happen.
