SAVE THE DATE!Cedar Hill State Park Hike & Picnic - Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025!
Join us on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, for a hike and picnic at Cedar Hill State Park. The 4-mile hike will begin at 8:45 AM at the Penn Farm Agricultural Center parking lot. The hike will be on a dirt trail over uneven terrain at a speed of 2-3 mph. Wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for hot weather hiking. (You will need to purchase a park day pass which is $7 per person to visit the park for the hike and/or the picnic.)
Following the hike, a potluck picnic will be held at 12:30 PM in Group Pavilion 2. The hike and picnic are open to members & non-members alike and if you are not interested in the hike, please consider joining us for the picnic! Please bring a dish to share and your own plate, cup and utensils. The Sierra Club will furnish drinks and ice.
This park is 30 min. from Fort Worth, south of 1-20 on Joe Pool Lake at 1570 West FM 1382, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. There are opportunities for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, and geo-caching in the park.
