About this Event
Save Our Families and BTCR will host a pop-up event at Hope Cafe for International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st, 2022. It’s crucial to raise awareness about our world’s overdose crisis. In 2021, America lost over 100,000 lives to preventable overdose. We say these overdoses are preventable because we have tools that can save lives. We will free pass out tools like Narcan kits and fentanyl testing strips. There will be a person on sight to provide basic training on how to use Narcan properly. Our goal is to provide harm reduction supplies and resources to the residents of Akron, Ohio, to help prevent the loss of life. Come out and join us; get trained and equipped to save a life!
