Sounds familiar. We performed our first show here with Pinact, back in April 2016 and have done quite a few since, a single launch, an album launch, a few bills curated by friends, we opened for Happyness and shared the stage with the late Hers, a band I think about all the time, we opened for Schwervon and Bob Nastanovich, a fun night, great memories all round. We filmed a live session here and released the audio as an album called Live at the Hug and Pint. Weirdly there were less people than usual at that one because of a pandemic?

We put an album out in February of this year. It’s called The Shakes. We would like the opportunity to play songs from The Shakes as well as the Document EP (2018) and the albums Revision Ballads (2019), Weird Country (2020), Golden Mountain, Here I Come (2022). We are going to do two nights at The Hug and Pint and try and get through as many of the good songs from our short discography as possible. Like we’ll probably not play “Mr Shite” (abandoned during the Revision Ballads sessions, for some reason, but played a lot at early concerts). Or maybe we will?
We have put together a couple of really good bills too, great bands and great pals. Dancer and Susan Bear on the Thursday, Hound and Come Outside on Friday. Back to back good shit.
These gigs, and our shows at Left of the Dial in Rotterdam, will be our last gigs for a while as we take a little bit off to figure out how best to move forward. You have been warned. Do you like this band? If you don’t that’s absolutely fine. But do you like this band? If you like this band you should come to one of these gigs, or maybe both of them, and you should definitely buy some merchandise which is definitely not taking up a crazy amount of space in my extremely small flat.
