Join us to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a family-friendly dance event! Learn a traditional Indonesian dance! Experience the Rantak Dance, a dance that depicts the bravery of the Minangkabau people and the Plate Dance, a dance that symbolizes farmers' gratitude for abundant harest!
No dance experience necessary!
This event is suitable for ages 5 and up.
About the Dance Company:
Saung Budaya Dance was established in 2006 when dance instructor Amalia Suryani came to New York City and held dance workshops in the Indonesian Consulate. Our goal is to introduce Indonesian culture through dance and music to the Indonesian-American youths in New York City and more generally, to the wider public.
Space is limited, this is a family-friendly community event!
Tickets & Attendance
- RSVPs are first come, first served.
- RSVPs are required of all attendees, including children. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- An RSVP does not guarantee a seat. Free events are oversold to accommodate drops.
- Same-day walkups will be accepted, Remaining seats will be released prior to the start of the show as space permits.

- Large items including strollers and carts are not permitted in the hall, but can be left in the lobby at the owner's discretion. Third Street does not assume liability for any theft or damages.
- No food or drinks are permitted in the Anna-Maria Kellen Concert Hall
- No pets allowed, service animals only
