Satya Chai Lounge TakeoverEmbark on a journey through India & eat your way through street food-inspired snacks & curries with friends, whilst washing them down with cocktails inspired by the Indian spice trail. Sammy Akuthota of Auckland's Satya, Satya Chai Lounge & GG x Flamingo comes to Chow for one day only, bringing his family recipes & a hint of South Indian flair.
Sammy takes inspiration from his favourite street foods & old family recipes, showcasing dishes without holding back on authenticity. He & the Chow team have created a full takeover menu ranging from Goan-spiced ‘kurryage’ chicken & cheesy deep-fried paneer to Indian yakitori. Satya Chai Lounge cocktail favourites such as the chai Old Fashioned & spiced rum & tamarind Negroni will make an appearance, including some of Auckland’s coolest craft beers. Sammy will also be selling spices from his pop-up Satya spice shop during the day.
Satya Chai Lounge is all about flavour explosions of Indian street food & sharing the joy. Aucklanders have been enjoying the Satya offering from Sandringham to Mt. EdeN, Karangahape Road to Garage Project pop-ups. & now it's time for Wellington to get a taste.
