About this Event
This walk is approximately 7 miles, and for people with some walking experience and a reasonable level of fitness as some terrain will be uphill and rougher ground than the canal towpath. We will walk from Elland Bridge to Brighouse and back, via Low Edge and Upper Edge woods, returning via the canal side and Cromwell Nature reserve. Enjoy the mud and murmuration's of autumn in Calderdale!
There will be an opportunity to break at Mamil cafe during the walk. Pace will be moderate and the emphasis is on enjoyment of the fresh air and good company. We will not meet stiles on this walk. Boots are recommended as the route through the woods will be muddy. Walking poles may prove helpful. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring whatever necessary to keep you safe, healthy and happy on the day eg inhaler, medications, drink, waterproof as needed. Dogs on a lead please.
