We would like to invite you in to the Gallery to attend Saturday Sittings. Every last Saturday of the month, the Portrait Gallery hosts a koha life drawing session in the Gallery.
We will include a mix of timed short and long poses for you to draw. All you need is paper and drawing materials - the Gallery also provides some basic materials that you are welcome to use.
For those attending the Saturday Sitting please arrive early to set yourself up, as the session will begin bang on 2pm and finish at 4pm. We will provide tea/coffee and a wee snack for a half an hour break.
This is a free event. Feel free to invite and bring along your friends and whānau, tamariki are welcome to join! We hope to see you all there!
If you are interested in sitting (being the model) for the Saturday Sittings, please contact us by sending a message here on Facebook, or heading to our website. We are always on the lookout for future models. Anybody and everybody is welcome to be a sitter!
p.s our sitter is always clothed.
