Joe H Henry has a voice "as powerful as a freight train", indigenous singer-songwriter Joe H Henry bellows the flames of gritty Americana roots with a whole lotta soul. Known for his thoughtful lyrics, signature storytelling, and innate ability to connect with audiences from all walks of life; Henry’s well of inspiration runs deep with experiences from a homeless train hopping youth to a homesteading father of five, and you can feel it in every line he sings. Named "One of the brightest new lights on the East Coast music scene" (Troy Greencorn - Executive Director, Stanfest/DeCoste Performing Arts Centre) Henry released his debut EP “Keep the Fire Burning” in Summer 2023, and has quickly become a name to watch with award nominations for 2024 Blues Recording of the Year (ECMA) and 2024 Americana Recording of the Year (Nova Scotia Music awards), as well as nominations for Indigenous Artist of the Year.
Richard & Somebody's Kids will warm the room with their fun and playful rockin' roots! Richard's unique story-telling and insight to human nature comes from decades of training boxers. Richard's command of the stage toes the line between old school fighter and insightful music poet. With a wry sense of humour, he playfully banters with his bandmates and somehow always manages to pull ringside fans into his corner.
