I know, you are wondering where did that Festive season go? Well its back. Please join us on a mini Bikepacking adventure. Similar format to previous Saturday night or Friday night campout expeditions. Find good takeway place with bottle shop next door, eat, have a beer if you wish, then ride out to camping spot. We have a new location for eating and a new camping location. This camping spot has no facilities at all, so please be prepared accordingly (toilet paper, poop trowel to bury poop, soap and or hand sanitiser and spare water), at least they are my non negotiables for camping in these spots. Basic plan, meet at Guildford Train Station where the cycle path crosses the train line at 5.30 pm Saturday arvo. Ride out to shops at Morrison rd (Swan View) for dinner and drink or two. Ride up into the scarp to camp.
This is an intermediate level ride, we will be riding almost to the top of the scarp so there will be some steep inclines to ride up. The terrain does also get a bit chunky, so decent bike handling skills are required. It will be dark by the time we get going after dinner so please have a good helmet light and good light on your handlebars (both minimum of 1000 lumens)
Sunday, we will have a longer and short ride options.
