Speaker: Susie Dai, Professor of Chemical and Biomedical EngineeringMushrooms are the fruiting bodies of fungi with broad applications in our routine life. They can decompose organic matter and recycle nutrients. Edible mushrooms are healthy food, and some have been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. Beyond their ecological role, mushrooms are being studied for their potential in environmental cleanup and as sustainable materials. This talk will explore the fungal potential for removing pollutants.
