Saturday February 7th, Sacred Fire Hendersonville, NC Experience the medicine of fire, community and connection at Sacred Fire in Hendersonville, NC
About this Event

FOR OUR ANCESTORS, fire was the center of community, where stories were told and people came to refocus, renew and process the events of their lives. That fire is still with us today.

Each month people around the world participate in one of humanity’s oldest traditions—gathering around a sacred fire. Community fires offer a welcoming place for everyone to be who we are—human beings with concerns, inspirations, passions and life challenges.

These monthly gatherings are hosted by Initiated Firekeeper Jane Wollack, trained in the time-honored principles of Fire Work—how to expand and enrich our connections, relationships and healing through Fire. Coming together in this way is an opportunity for personal, community and global transformation.

Typically our Community Fires are held out of doors. In the event that a fire ban is in effect, we will move this event inside.

We will begin to gather at 5:30. Please come with your chair and a blanket if the night is cool. We will commence at 6:00 and no one will be admitted after this time.

Parking: Please park in the driveway, unless otherwise directed. Follow the signs around the back of the house. Parking is limited so carpool if possible.

What to Bring:

  • What is on your heart, your story, a poem
  • Chair, a blanket, a water bottle
  • Dress for the weather. We will be sitting outside around a fire. In case of rain, we will tarp our fire pit.

Please leave at home:

  • children under 15 years of age
  • pets
  • alcoholic beverages
  • recreational/illegal drugs (not permitted on property)
  • firearms

The Offerings: We open the Fire with a brief ceremony, one we've been given ancestral permission to use, to deepen our connection to one another and give thanks for the heart energy of Fire.

This event is free, however, a RSVP is required to attend this event.
