SACRED FIRE COMMUNITY GATHERING An evening of connection, community, and transformation around the fire

πŸ”₯ ABOUT THIS GATHERING

Feeling disconnected? Carrying stress or big questions? Come gather around the fire the way humans have for thousands of yearsβ€”to share, listen, heal, and connect.

Sacred Fire creates space to slow down, connect , and experience genuine community. No experience necessary. All backgrounds and beliefs welcome.

Each fire has its own unique spirit shaped by nature and the people present that evening.

In the presence of community and the help of a sacred fire, we can:
Release stress & digest emotions
Experience belonging and authentic connection
Find clarity amid life's challenges
Feel our shared humanity

❀️‍πŸ”₯ WHAT IS SACRED FIRE?

For millennia, people have gathered around fire for warmth, stories, and connection. When people needed extra support they would gather around a special fire - also known as a Sacred Fire.

This ancient practice and remedy for human beings is still available, facilitated by trained Firekeepers who create safe space for personal and community transformation.

Throughout time, this method of connectionβ€”called "Fire Work"β€”has helped societies form wise and balanced cultures. As today's world grows increasingly complex, Sacred Fire offers everyone the opportunity to experience fire's benefits for healing and life improvement.

Sacred Fire offers a safe place where:

  • We can be vulnerable with our doubts and fears
  • Burdens, concern, shock, grief, or anger find relief
  • Numbness transforms into well-being
  • Joy and connection emerge
  • You can be you

Come with your questions, stories, songs, laughter, tears, presence, or silence. All are welcome.

πŸ”₯ MEET YOUR FIREKEEPERS

Lisa Lichtig and Patrick Hanaway are trained & initiated Firekeepers in the International Sacred Fire Community. They have been hosting and facilitating Sacred Fires for over 20 years and continue to receive ongoing education to effectively work with community and fire's powers of illumination and transformation. They are stewards of the oldest consecrated Sacred Fire Community Hearth, holding sacred space for personal and community healing and transformation.

In addition, both Lisa & Patrick are medical doctors and healers (Mara’akame) in the WixΓ‘rika shamanic healing tradition. Bridging modern medicine with ancient wisdom, they participate in or lead pilgrimage to sacred sites, conduct ceremonies and offer individual healing to help people find balance and purpose in life.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ CHILDREN

We love children. They are welcome for the potluck portion. Monthly community fires are for adults only, though nursing babies are welcome.

Once the fire is consecrated, we ask parents to bring children home or they may stay at the firekeeper's house under adult supervision.

Children benefit from Sacred Fire indirectlyβ€”through being around adults who are more present and connected.

We plan to create more family-friendly events and welcome your ideas!
