Who the workshop is run by
Nicky Harwood is a printmaker and textile artist based in Liskeard, Cornwall.
Her work revolves around the landscape, place, and society's uncomfortable yet increasing relationship with disposable culture and waste. Through printmaking and textile repair techniques, she explores themes of decay, reuse, and transformation, embracing natural elements such as rot and mold to subvert traditional printmaking rules.
Her practice is deeply rooted in community engagement, running workshops that emphasise creativity as a tool for well-being and inclusivity, often incorporating recycled materials. Recently, she has expanded into fabric design and slow fashion, creating unique printed textiles that evolve through a process of continuous reworking.
She is founder and lead artist of The Creative Gym CIC, offering art for wellbeing sessions and open access studio space for the community.

Other information you need to know
All workshops are run at LilyBoo, Lostwithiel on the upstairs floor. There is a steep flight of stairs up to the workshop area but once there you will have everything you need, from a small kitchen for tea and coffee along with a bathroom. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
