Join us on a guided hike of the famous Special Forces Fan Dance in the Brecon Beacons for a fantastic day on some of Wales finest summits.The Fan Dance starts and finishes at the Storey Arms Outdoor Education Centre we then ascend and descend Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, reaching an elevation of 886 meters (2,907 feet). from Pen y Fan we head to Torpantau Station where we turn around and do the route backwards.
The total distance of the Fan Dance is approximately 24 kilometers (15 miles), with a total elevation gain of around 1,700 meters (5,577 feet).
All hikers will be led by experienced and trained Mountain Leaders.
Unlike the Special forces we will complete the hike at a pace suitable for all, And we would not expect you to carry the 16kg required by the Special Forces (though you are quite welcome to carry this weight)
