Join us for our 3rd session led by Sally LoMonaco, a local actress who in addition to starring in many films here and in LA recently graduated from film school and is producing, directing, and wrote her own fan film "The Amazing Mary Jane" in which she also plays the title role of Mary Jane Watson, Spider-Man's girlfriend.Sally will lead us in a session focused on doing cold reads well in which we will film and watch the reads and be able to focus on the intricacies of acting small on film.
Two monologists have also volunteered (Sally & Joe) and, as always, there will be time for volunteers to give monologues as well (that is your queue to prep one!).
Depending on time, there will also be surprise exercises.
We will meet in the lobby at 7PM to socialize before our room is available around 7:15-7:30. Please arrive promptly because the front doors will be locked. (Anyone locked out please call/text Joe Cunningham 315-863-9407)
Syracuse Actors Studio is a free monthly meetup for actors where we learn from and practice acting with each other. Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to attend!
Street parking is free at that time as well as the Key Bank lot.
There will be a hat out for donations for our host, Safe Space CNY at the end if anyone would like to support.
