In memory of the late, great John Lawton we'd like to embark on year two of tackling the Sarsen Trail - this time in reverse, walking 26.2 miles from Stonehenge to Avebury. We will be raising money for departments at the RUH, BRI and also Dorothy House. For ease we are going to ask everyone for a £25 entry fee to participate which will go straight to charity but will also set up a charity page on JustGiving for those who wish to raise additional sponsorship on top of this. Initial plans are as below, with details to follow closer to the time:
Saturday 15th of June - Sarsen Trail
- Departing from Stonehenge @ 8am and finishing at the Red Lion pub in Avebury
- There will be three check points en route to get drinks, snacks and any other support you may need
- We welcome walkers of all abilities but also have plenty of volunteer opportunities for the non-walkers on the day
Sunday 16th of June - Fun Day
- A good old party
- Location and timings tbc but will be local to Urchfont/ Devizes
We kindly ask that people can RSVP to this event no later than the 28th of April to give us enough time to finalise logistics.
