About this Event

On October 19, Oregon will be swept into a night of wonder as the renowned Philippine Ballet Theatre (PBT) takes the stage with Sarimanok, their breathtaking new production and a centerpiece of their U.S. tour.

Experience the magic as the Philippine Ballet Theater transforms the stage into a breathtaking realm of folklore. This mesmerizing ballet draws audiences into mythical landscapes, where the magnificent SariManok, a legendary bird adorned in dazzling colors, graces the scenes. The performance promises to be a feast for the senses, harmonizing intricate choreography, stunning costumes, and evocative melodies that resonate deeply with the rich heritage of Filipino culture.

Adding even more brilliance to the evening is the Pinamulan Exhibit—an immersive celebration of Mindanao’s master artisans and their stunning craftsmanship. Completing the cultural trifecta, a curated fashion exhibition will showcase the visionary works of iconic Filipino designers. Together, these three experiences form an unforgettable night of artistry, heritage, and pride.

This extraordinary evening is more than a celebration—it’s a cornerstone of the Filipino American Association of Portland and Vicinity, Inc.'s (FAAPVI) Capital Campaign.

In this first phase of our capital campaign, we are striving to raise $100,000 to preserve and uplift a space that has long been the heart of our community. Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds will go toward urgent and critical repairs to our beloved—but aging—community center, the only Filipino community-owned space in Oregon. ensuring it remains a safe and welcoming home for generations to come. The remaining twenty-five percent will help us grow our vital programs in arts & music, and expand to STEM, after-school support, workforce development, and economic empowerment, so we can continue to honor our heritage, nurture future leaders, create generational wealth, and build a stronger Filipino American presence in Portland.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, FAAPVI invites you to become a supporter/ donor/ sponsor of this meaningful event. Your support fuels a future where Filipino culture flourishes, opportunities grow, and communities thrive.
