Start the new year by serving together! We’ll have one worship service in the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. Then, in the Fellowship Hall, we’ll enjoy lunch and education about Room In the Inn, as well as hands-on mission projects for all ages supporting RITI, Roof Above, and the Salvation Army Women and Children’s shelter. This event is for all ages of children, teens, and adults! There will be hands-on mission activities for all abilities and all ages. Invite a friend or neighbor!January 4, 2026 Day-of Schedule:

10:00 a.m. Sunday school as usual for all ages in their usual classrooms
11:00 a.m. Worship with communion in the Sanctuary
12:00 p.m. Lunch & Education in Fellowship Hall
12:45-2:00 p.m. Mission projects and immersive tour experience in the Sardis House
*Nursery for 5 years and younger will be open from 10am-2pm.

What will we do during this Sardis Serves Together day?
Sardis Serves Together on January 4, 2026 will begin with one combined worship service in the sanctuary at 11am. We will be nourished by the Word and the Sacrament of Communion and then will transition to the Fellowship Hall for lunch where various Sardis members, guest speakers, and neighbors will share about the impact of the Room in the Inn program in Charlotte, hear stories from across the decades of Sardis’ partnership with RITI, and the ways in which new volunteers have recently been impacted by their time spent with our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Plus, learn about ways in which you too can offer a few hours of your love and time to make a big impact! During the education time, children ages 5th grade and younger will participate in a related story and activity time in the children’s library with Amanda Hooks and volunteers. After lunch, everyone will be assigned to help with various hands-on mission projects AND participate in an immersive tour of the Sardis House RITI operations. Come see and hear first-hand, how the RITI impacts our neighbors and our volunteers.

Making Beds
Sorting Donations
Prepping the Sardis House for RITI
Decorating Placemats and Cards to Welcome Our RITI neighbors
Cooking Dinner for RITI
Making Sandwiches and Lunch Bags for Roof Above
Packing “Hope Bundles” of Items for Children Staying at the Salvation Army Center of Hope and Family Shelter for Women and Children
