Sarasota Int'l Chalk Festival

The Chalk Festival is a three-day "Museum in Motion" where artists from around the world create oversized masterpieces using the road surface as a canvas, interactive 3D illusions and this year the incorporation of flower carpet masters artists who use natural flowers... thousands of them!

This jubilation of art and culture is assembled by volunteers and artists who dedicate time and talent to create these memorable experiences for you. Together, with our spectators, we have taken this small nonprofit to what it is today - the largest gathering of renowned pavement artists and the largest display of 3D pavement illusions in the world.

Excitement is added to our 18th iteration as we host new cultural experiences. Artists that create Flower Carpets using flowers, flower petals and natural materials, and artists creating a celebration for Sunday by crafting fantastical masks, human puppets and stilt walkers.

We thank you for joining and supporting us in this global community of ephemeral art enthusiasts.

PLEASE NOTE:

We are back in our original location on S. Pineapple Avenue in Historic Burns Square, super excited; and things have changed a bit. The State of Florida and Sarasota County are changing its support of the arts and we lost significant funding. The City of Sarasota fees have increased, and so has lodging, rentals and flights. For this reason a pre-purchased ticket is required to attend to keep our nonprofit sustainable and control attendance.

We also have created an important 'GROW THE HEART' VIP Pass . With your help, purchasing a VIP ticket will go to local nonprofits such as Child Protection Center, Mothers Helping Mothers, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Children First who serve children and families with needs. They will receive tickets to attend this cultural opportunity that we believe will 'grow the heart' of our community in positive ways.
