🌟 Friends, I have big news to share! 🌟This fall, something very full-circle is happening for me — and I’d love for you to be part of it. (Even if in spirit, I know a lot of you live far away, but I decided to go wide with the invite.)
On October 4 (tomorrow!), I’ll be debuting my very first novel, Chasing the Sunset, at the Decatur Book Festival — right here in the heart of the town where I grew up.
Many of you know me as Sarah Epting from our Decatur days. As a writer, I’m publishing under my pen name Hope Epting Loschak, but Decatur is where the dream started. So, bringing my book home for its first big moment feels incredibly special.
And it gets even better — the audiobook is narrated by another Decatur native, Janie Hitchcock. We literally grew up around the corner from one another, and now, decades later, we’re bringing this story to life together. Her debut as a narrator is the perfect marriage with my debut as an author and I could not be happier.
At my booth, you’ll find:
📚 A chance to listen to Janie’s beautiful narration 🎧
🐝 Interactive “vision catching” displays inspired by the novel
🎨 Special merch, giveaways, and community fun
💜 (And hopefully lots of hugs and catching up with familiar faces!)
This isn’t just about launching a book — it’s about celebrating community, roots, and the dreams that never quite leave us. I would be so grateful to see you there, cheer me on, and share this milestone with me.
