Every year, the Union de la Presse Musicale chooses a ‘young musician of the year’ at the Caecilia Awards ceremony. This prestigious title gives the winners the chance to showcase their exceptional talent at Bozar. In the first edition of the Concert Croissant series, you will have the chance to get to know not one, but two award winners. Both are violinists. Sarah Bayens, winner in 2022 and from Turnhout, trained at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. A versatile performer, she shines both as a soloist and in chamber music and won Supernova 2024 with her ensemble Susato Trio. In 2023, Franco-Belgian Maya Lévy won the award at the Caecilia Awards. She took lessons with Boris Kuschnir in Vienna, already has two CDs to her name and kicks off the season with a concert tour of China.

Chaque année, l’Union de la presse musicale belge distingue le·la Jeune musicien·ne de l’année dans le cadre de la cérémonie des Prix Caecilia. En outre, ce titre prestigieux donne l’opportunité aux lauréat·e·s de dévoiler leur talent exceptionnel à Bozar. Lors de la première édition de notre nouvelle série Concert Croissant, vous aurez la chance de découvrir non pas une, mais deux lauréates. Toutes deux sont violonistes. Jeune musicienne de l’année 2022 , Sarah Bayens, originaire de Turnhout, s’est formée au Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, côté néerlandophone. Polyvalente, elle rayonne tant en solo qu’en musique de chambre, remportant notamment le concours Supernova 2024 avec son ensemble, le Susato Trio. La Jeune musicienne de l’année 2023 est la Franco-Belge Maya Lévy, formée auprès de Boris Kuschnir à Vienne. Elle compte déjà deux disques à son actif et débute la saison par une tournée de concerts en Chine.

Elk jaar kiest de Union de la Presse Musicale een "jonge muzikant van het jaar" tijdens de uitreiking van de Caecilia Awards. Deze prestigieuze titel geeft de winnaars de kans om hun uitzonderlijke talent te tonen in Bozar. In de eerste editie van de reeks Concert Croissant krijg je de kans om niet één, maar twee prijswinnaars te leren kennen. Beide zijn violisten. Sarah Bayens, winnares in 2022 en afkomstig uit Turnhout, volgde haar opleiding aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. Als veelzijdig vertolkster schittert ze zowel als soliste als in kamermuziek en won ze Supernova 2024 met haar ensemble Susato Trio. In 2023 viel de Frans-Belgische Maya Lévy in de prijzen bij de Caecilia Awards. Ze volgde les bij Boris Kuschnir in Wenen, heeft al twee cd's op haar naam staan en trapt het seizoen af met een concerttournee door China.
