SapphK*nk Study

Come spend the evening with k*nky sapphics at Gina’s, one of Vancouver’s best queer-owned restaurants. This time, we’re turning the lights down and turning the charm up with a class on Flirting, Boundaries, and Scene Negotiation—for anyone who’s ever wished being sapphic came with a how-to course.

Learn how to flirt with confidence, set (and respect) boundaries, and negotiate a scene that feels good for everyone involved. This is an active, hands-on workshop designed for pairs (solo attendees will be paired up in class) just bring an open mind, your notebook, and your best smile.

Order some tacos and get ready to practice the art of connection with a community just like you.

This event is by registration only. Each person needs to register individually. Tickets not sold at the door.

While alcohol may be present at this event, sobriety is welcome, and we encourage everyone to participate in a way that supports their well-being.

SapphK*nk is a k*nky space for:

- K*nky cis women who identify as sapphic, lesbian, or women-loving-women

- K*nky trans women & trans men who identify as sapphic, lesbian, or women-loving-women

- K*nky non-binary folks who identify as sapphic, lesbian, or women-loving-women

- K*nky two-Spirit folks who identify as sapphic, lesbian, or women-loving-women

- K*nky gender-diverse folks who identify as sapphic, lesbian, or women-loving-women.

We deeply value the diverse experiences and perspectives within our community and trust attendees to self-identify authentically. This space does not align with TERF or SWERF ideologies.

At the center of SapphK*nk is a commitment to creating a space that is inclusive of all sapphics, including those from marginalized and racialized communities. We honor and celebrate the diverse identities, experiences, and voices in our community.

Note: Sapphk*nk is not a dating group, so individuals attracted to its members are not necessarily welcome unless they also identify as sapphic, lesbian, or women-loving-women.

--COVID Policies -Precautions we take to limit the spread of COVID and other illnesses:

• Coway Airmega 200M with True Hepa Filter
• Monitoring CO2 levels and keeping doors/windows open to improve air quality
• Screening questions about recent symptoms at the door
• Masks and hand sanitizer available (courtesy of @masks4eastvan)
• How you can help: Please do not attend if you have been sick or experiencing any cold/flu symptoms within the past 7 days. If you arrive to SapphK*nk and are symptomatic, you will be asked to leave.

Scents: I request that folks attend scent/fragrance-free. Please be mindful of strongly scented products such as deodorant and laundry detergent as well.

Located just steps from the centre of downtown, this location is easy to access from any part of town.

Public Transit: The closest Skytrain to the event space is Stadium Chinatown, and the following buses pass nearby: 3, 4, 7, 8, 14, 16, 20, R5

Bikes: There are few bike racks in the area, please make sure to bring a good lock!

Parking: There is limited parking and parking downtown can be quite expensive.

Info: After 8:30pm, SapphKinksters are welcome to keep hanging out at Gina’s, but the space will also reopen to the public.
