Kia ora e hoa, we’re back with more sapphic events now that silly season is winding down! Our first gathering of the year is gonna be low-key, eco-friendly, and full of sweet community ✨
All sizes and styles of clothing are needed for this to be a successful swap, so please bring everything you want to leave behind in 2025! Clothing will be sorted by type (shirts, pants, dresses etc) and general size range (0-6, 8-12, 14-18 etc) to make it easy to find something fabulous that will fit you. Please make sure all items are clean and in decent condition!
What to bring: Clothing, togs, shoes, jewelry, and books
What NOT to bring: Underwear/used socks, home decor, random knick-knacks
There will be an upcycle station to gay-ify your finds complete with sewing machines, scissors, DIY tools, and knowledgable volunteers to help you make the most of your new wardrobe. And if you get peckish, there will be fresh lemonade and cupcakes for sale by lovely members of our queer community!
Instead of selling tickets this event is koha-based - which means it’s totally fine to rock up for free if finances are tight right now, but please consider contributing a few bucks to support the venue hire/labour that goes into putting these events together ☺️
Thistle Hall 2nd floor is accessible by elevator and has gender neutral bathrooms. We’ll be playing vibey tunes for a fun swap experience (perhaps just the Heated Rivalry soundtrack on repeat?) but will keep the volume to a comfy level so everyone can chat and connect.
