Come and celebrate the countdown to Christmas at Santas on the Run!, Pilgrims Hospices’ festive family fun run taking place on Sunday 15 December 2024.
Santas on the Run! brings family and friends together in the countdown to Christmas. You can run, jog or walk your way around the route at whatever pace you like, so whatever your age or fitness level, you can come and celebrate the festive season with us!
Choose from a 3k, 5k, or 10k challenge and dash your way along Herne Bay’s scenic seafront with hundreds of fellow Santas who are putting their best foot forwards in aid of a good Claus.
You’ll enjoy live festive music to get you into the ho, ho holiday spirit, before being cheered on and jingled all the way by our Christmas cheer stations!
Last year, more than 1,029 Santas joined us, filling the seafront with an incredible amount of festive cheer! Be sure not to miss out on this year’s fun – gather your friends, family, colleagues, or neighbours and step into Christmas with Kent’s biggest Santa run!

Choose from a 3k, 5k or 10k route starting at Herne Bay Clock Tower.
Check-in will open at 9.30am and the fun run will begin at 11am.

Everyone who registers for Santas on the Run! in advance will receive a 5-piece Santa suit, including jacket, trousers, hat, belt, and beard. If you’d rather not receive a Santa suit and wear your own festive costume, simply tell the staff when you check-in at the event that you don’t need one. Every finishing Santa will also receive a well-deserved medal!
In order for all of our Santas to have a safe and enjoyable event, dogs will not be able to attend Santas on the Run! Thank you for your understanding.

You will be given your Santa suit at the check-in desks at the event.
However, if you want to turn up on the day suited and booted, we will be holding Santa suit collection evenings during the following times:

Upon arrival, please head to the main hospice reception at the rear of the car park.
Adult Santa suits are one-size-fits-all, so please do not try your suit while at the collection evening.
