Get ready, Defiance. Santa Claus is coming to town. Or rather MANY Santa Clauses are coming to town. It’s SantaCon, a national gathering of Santas. Any Santas, all Santas and all the holiday characters related to Santas (but mostly just the Santas).Join us for an evening of Santa themed cosplay as we bring holiday cheer and Christmas joy (and monetary patronage in exchange for food beverages) to the participating downtown restaurants, bars, and businesses. And while this isn’t the first SantaCon Defiance has seen, we’re refocusing so that we can grow it to be one of the highlight events of the Defiance holiday season. And while we want as many Santas as possible, don’t be lame and just wear a Santa hat.
On Saturday, December 13th we’re going to get things started at 7pm. The party starts at Triangle Park (weather permitting) so we can get a photo of everyone looking their most Santa-iest. After that, we’ll unleash the Santas on a beautiful downtown Defiance and go from bar to bar to restaurant to business spreading Santa cheer and merriment to one and all. Drink & Be Merry as one might say!
