🎅✨ It’s time for SantaCon—Elizabeth City style! Dress up as Santa, Mrs. Claus, an elf, a reindeer, or your favorite holiday character and join us downtown on Saturday, December 6 for a day full of holiday cheer.From 1–5 PM, roam downtown with fellow holiday characters, enjoy a little “Bar Ho-Ho-Hopping” and “Retail S-Ho-Ho-Hopping,” or simply spread Christmas spirit while you check your Naughty & Nice lists. Don’t miss the Hot Cocoa Crawl and plenty of photo ops with the community!
Stick around for the ECPC Parks & Recreation Christmas Parade at 5:30 PM—but remember, Santas must vacate the parade route before then (Main, Water, Road & Ehringhaus Streets).
This is a family-friendly version of SantaCon—think fun, festive, and well-behaved Santas only. 🎄 All ages are welcome to join in the costumes and merriment (21+ for alcohol).

What IS SantaCon?
"SantaCon is an annual pub crawl in which people dressed in Santa Claus costumes or as other (holiday) characters parade in hundreds of cities around the world." (Thanks Wikipedia!) It has been described as "a roving, loosely organized event" that began in San Francisco in 1994 and has grown and expanded over the years.
Note: SantaCon has garnered a reputation in some cities for being a wild event, but that is NOT what we are going for in Elizabeth City (got it, Santa?). We invite ONLY well-behaved Santas and holiday characters to participate and have fun (but not the kind of fun that puts you on the Naughty List). All ages may participate, but you DO have to be 21 or older to consume alcohol as always. All Alcohol Beverage Control rules and regulations and City ordinances regarding alcohol and public behavior will be in effect.
