A RACE WITH HEART: JOIN US FOR THE SANTA RUN!Celebrate the season with a difference! Dressed festively as Santa Clauses, we will start from multiple locations across the city, converging at Makarios Hospital to bring joy and comfort to children battling cancer and the dedicated hospital staff. Together, we’ll sing Christmas carols and distribute gifts, bringing smiles and holiday cheer to those who need them most.
Led by experienced runners, cyclists, and community leaders, each Santa group will follow a leisurely, festive pace—making it an event everyone can enjoy, regardless of fitness level or endurance. Participants will walk, run, cycle, or skate along sidewalks and public roads, always following traffic rules, covering routes of 5 to 7 kilometers. There will be five (5) starting points, in various locations in Nicosia, which will be announced by the beginning of December.
All groups are expected to reach the hospital courtyard between 9:50 and 10:00 am, where we’ll be joined by a musical ensemble from the Philharmonic Bank of the Police Force for a heartfelt caroling session. After singing and giving gifts, we’ll continue through Acropolis, Nikis, and Makarios Avenues toward Eleftheria’s Square, pausing for a brief musical interlude, and concluding at Ledra Street’s pedestrian zone (near Kathodon Restaurant), where hot soup, wine, and a joyful unplugged music party await.

All proceeds from registration fees will go directly to the Alkinoos Artemiou Foundation (Fundraising Licence Ν.Π. 15/2024). Organizations and companies are encouraged to contribute directly to the foundation’s account. Registration is available exclusively online through www.santarun.com.cy until December 26, 2024.
