Solar power is an energy source no one can hoard. Every daylight hour, we're being bathed in free energy. We all deserve the opportunity to get power from the sunshine that falls on our roofs and balconies, whether we rent or own. Luckily, we live in a time where we have the technology to make that possible, AND it’s becoming a cheaper alternative to oil and gas at increasing rates around the world. On September 21st, join us for a Santa Cruz "Sun Day" Celebration. We'll be at Mission Plaza Park from 12-5 pm for a free community event with music, mini solar activities for kids, arts and crafts, and demos and information about home solar, battery, and heat pump technologies.
Here’s what you can expect:
-Mini-solar activities for kids
-Sun prints and other art activities
-Home solar/battery /heat pump info
-Open mic (with a youth emphasis) and other performances
-And much more!
Come and be part of this national day of community resilience and action, where we’ll come together to celebrate the clean energy solutions we already have and help make sure they're more accessible to everyone who needs them. We all feel better when the sun comes out 🌞
