Lee & Stort Boat Co Ltd are proud to be offering Santa Cruises on the River Lee in Ware again for 2024.
The Santa Cruises will be full of fun including a guest appearance from Santa himself. There will be surprises for the children and a fully licensed bar for the adults serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, beers, wines and mulled wine.
The boats are fully accessible and have toilets on board for your added comfort. Everyone of all ages are welcome.
The Cruises are running Saturday 14th and Sunday15th December 2024 with departures times at 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm. All departures are from Ware Town Quay in the Library Car Park
Santa Cruise - FAQ
What Time do I need to turn up?
You should turn up 15 minutes minutes before your confirmed departure time.
When do I need to pay for the cruise?
Payment should via Eventbrite. Adults and Children are £22.00. The cruise includes a hot or cold drink for adults and a present for the children
What happens if I cannot make the cruise?
Unfortunately there are no refunds once a booking has been made so please be sure you can make the time and day you select for your cruise. Full refunds will be made if we need to cancel the cruises for any reason.
Is my ticket transferrable?
Unfortunately tickets are non transferable once booked
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please ensure you bring either your printed ticket or e-ticket with you. You will need to present this before boarding.
Are there presents for the children?
Yes there will be a small present for each paying child (or a drink if a present is not required).
Do the children individually see Santa?
Yes – Santa will remain at the front of the boat and children (and adults!) in their family groups can join him for their presents and for photos
Do Passengers need to wear life jackets?
No – there is no need for passengers to wear life jackets. Passengers will remain within the profile of the boat at all times whilst the cruise is in operation.
Are their toilets on board?
Yes - there are two toilets on board, one with disabled access
Is there food and drink on board?
There will be drinks and basic bar snacks on board – there will also be a fully licensed bar should passengers over 18 wish to have an alcoholic drink.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
You can bring your own small picnic lunch if required. No alcohol may be brought on board. There will be a licensed bar selling snacks and hot and cold drinks on board
What should I wear?
You should treat the cruise as an outdoor event; although the boats are fully covered the windows will be opened if the weather permits for the full enjoyment of passengers.
Is there access for wheelchairs or mobility impaired passengers?
Yes – the boats do have wheelchair access. Please notify if you have any special requirements at the time of booking.
Is smoking allowed on board?
No – Smoking is not allowed
Can I get off the boat at anytime?
No – Whilst the boat is in motion passengers are not allowed to disembark the boat, except in the event of an emergency when the captain and crew will direct passengers accordingly.
Is the boat covered?
Yes the boat is fully covered, however the windows will be open if the weather permits.
How long does the cruise last?
You will be on board for approximately 60 minutes.
Will the cruise still proceed in adverse weather?
Subject to the captain’s discretion, which is final, the cruise may not proceed if it is deemed to be unsafe. In this unlikely event the event may proceed whilst the boat is statically moored.
Are there parking facilities?
Yes - there is pay and display parking at the Library Car Park.
Is there seating on board?
Yes - there will be seating for each family group.
How do I get to the boat?
The boat will be located at the back of the Library Car Park off of Burgage Lane SG12 9XB
