The City of Santa Clara is excited to announce the 2025-26 container gardening workshop series sponsored by a grant from Open Space Authority meant for people in high-density housing. Let by Certified Master Composter, Rebecca Nelson, this workshop will provide best practices for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting a home worm compost bin. Learn the do’s and don’ts of worm composting and discover how to use finished compost to enrich your container garden. Plus, take home composting goodies - including your very own worms! This class will be co-hosted with the Composting Education Program. Sign up to receive more details and secure your spot!

- Workshops will be capped at 30 registered participants, plus one guest.
- Registration is limited to one workshop per household in the Container Gardening Series.
- Must be a Santa Clara Resident to participate.
- If a waitlist is activated, Santa Clara residents who are seniors and/or eligible for CalFresh benefits will receive priority.
