About this Event
Family Friendly Bike Ride with some Santa Clara Council Members!
Join us at the Santa Clara Caltrain station for a family-friendly bike ride!
SVBC Santa Clara is excited to lead this bike ride around our wonderful city. This is an opportunity to commiserate with fellow cyclists and learn about the latest bike projects. As an added bonus, one of our esteemed city council members will be joining us on the ride!
We will ride a 5.5-mile loop at an easy-going pace, starting and ending at the Caltrain Station in Santa Clara. We will be riding on two larger streets (Benton and Monroe). But do not fear! Riding in a group keeps us safe. Families and riders of all ages are welcome. In order to ride at a comfortable speed, bikes with training wheels are discouraged. We recommend that children ride on 2-wheeled bikes or on a seat or trailer attached to an adult bike.
Please register here so we can plan accordingly! We will be offering delicious beignets as a treat, courtesy of SVBC Santa Clara.
Did you know that Sat Sept 21 is also Caltrain Electrification Day? The South Bay Railroad Historical Society is hosting an event to celebrate the first full schedule of the new electrified trains. When we return to the station, feel free to walk around the museum and join in on the event.
