Volunteer Orientation – In PersonInterested in making a difference for animals in our community? Join us for an in-person Volunteer Orientation with County of Santa Barbara Animal Services! This orientation is required for all new volunteers and will introduce you to our shelters, volunteer opportunities, policies, and expectations.
Volunteers commit to at least 6 hours per month and play a vital role in supporting the daily care, enrichment, and well-being of shelter animals. Orientation sessions are offered at multiple shelter locations throughout February, with limited spots available.
📍 Locations: Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Santa Barbara Shelters
⏱️ Length: Approximately 1 hour
📅 When: Various February dates (see schedule)
