🎄 First Saturday in December – The Boothbay Harbor Region Kicks off the holiday season with one of the best family-friendly Christmas events in Boothbay Harbor! This festive day is packed with holiday cheer and activities for all ages.Santa & Friends Arrive by Boat 2:00 PM
Santa Claus and his friends make a grand entrance by boat at The Whale Park/town landing. Families can enjoy a Meet & Greet at the Pot Buoy Tree at Pier 1, from 2:30 – 4:00 PM, complete with holiday crafts, games, seasonal music, warming stations and free treats for waiting families at the Fisherman's Wharf Parking lot while they wait to meet the jolly team.
Community Tree Lighting – 4:45 PM
Join the annual Community Tree Lighting at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library. The library’s tree will shine bright, setting the stage for the evening’s festive celebrations. (Tree lit by Santa at 5:00 PM)
Grab a bite to eat, do a little holiday shopping, and get ready for the:
Annual Lighted Boat Parade – 6:45 PM
Then, the beloved Lighted Boat Parade in Boothbay Harbor lights up the water with beautifully decorated boats, creating a magical holiday display for visitors and locals alike.
Holiday Fireworks put on by the Town of Boothbay Harbor – Following the Parade
End the evening with spectacular fireworks over Boothbay Harbor, a perfect finale for this seasonal celebration. The Whale Park, Fisherman’s Memorial, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and the 1901 Footbridge are perfect spots for viewing! OR find a cozy waterfront restaurant and see the show from your table!
All events are weather-dependent. In case of rain, activities will move to Sunday, December 7th.
