Would you like to increase your energy levels? Would you like to be more alert? If so, you are welcome to attend CTBCC Qigong classes on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Qigong are exercises with slow body movements synchronized with breathing. “Qi” (pronounced “chi”) means energy and “gong” (pronounced “gung”) means to work or cultivate. So, one practicing qigong is cultivating her/his energy. The exercises to be practiced are “Chow” qigong exercises, from the book: “Qigong: Miracle Healing from China”. There are five warm up exercises and eight “precious” exercises.
All exercises are done in a standing-in-place position. The only prerequisite is your interest or curiosity. If you have any physical health issues that may be impacted by standing, twisting and bending, you may wish to check with your doctor to confirm that physical exercise is appropriate. Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing for ease of body movement.
The teacher is Fred Villa ([email protected]), who has been practicing qigong exercises for eleven years.
The class is free, but any donations to CTBCC would be welcome and appreciated.
