We'll have plenty of light outside during July's Photography Club Main Session, so we're going to take advantage of it and head outside for a three focal length challenge! As a photographer, you can change your focal length (zoom in or out) and distance between you and your subject, and your subject will still fill the same amount of the frame. However the rest of your composition will be altered dramatically! This technique is one of the most useful tools we have as photographers and it can elevate your photography immensely. The session will start with a short presentation demonstrating the technique. We'll then head outside for you to practice. Bring your camera with the shortest lens you have and the longest. However, you don't need an especially long lens for this technique. Any zoom (or three different primes) will work. After we get done shooting, we'll get together back inside the cottage to discuss our shots.
The main club meeting takes place from 6:45-8:00 p.m. Beginners can attend our beginners session from 6:00-6:45 p.m. which will help prepare them for the main session's activities. Both sessions are free to attend.
