The Grand Prairie Bird Alliance is pleased to sponsor an upcoming presentation on Thursday, September 26, at 7 p.m. in room C101 of the Center for Natural Sciences at Illinois Wesleyan University. Dr. Matt Hayes, the Assistant Director of the Illinois Audubon Society, will talk about The Secret Lives of Sandhill Cranes. The Sandhill Crane, which nests in wetlands and prairies across North America, is known for its elegant courtship ritual and its loud, rolling, trumpeting call. Dr. Matt Hayes will summarize over 30 years of research on Sandhill Cranes that he and other scientists have conducted at the International Crane Foundation in central Wisconsin. The Center for Natural Science (CNS) is at 201 Beecher Street, Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington Illinois. Parking is available in the lot just north of the CNS on Beecher Street.
