About this Event
About the Workshop:
Join us for an exciting 2-day workshop series designed to teach you how to release stress, bring mental health, and integrative wellness to everyday life with essential tools and practices of the 4 elements, Indigenous teachings, & the 4 Directions.
Our Sanando con los Elementos workshop series are intuitive sessions and guided by Spirit and ancestors. They will be following the teachings and protocols taught by elders of Mexica, Maya and Q'ero Nations.
Over each engaging session, Vero Diaz will cover topics like: land connection; moon, sun, earth practices for overall wellness; restoring inner balance; and caring for our mental health, and cultivating emotional harmony with the elements: water, air, earth, and fire. During each session, two different elements will be discussed.
You’ll be able to connect with others, share experiences, and learn from each other!
* Please note: it is ideal that you attend both dates, but you can register for one or the other if schedule conflicts arise.
What to Bring:
Sacred items for our temporal collective Ofrenda, like crystals, candles, medicines, flowers, water vases, fruit, etc. You will be able to take them back home. You can also bring a blanket to sit outside and warm clothing just in case it gets cold.
About the Facilitator:
Vero Díaz is an Indigenous Artist, Spiritual Teacher, and Healer from Mexico based in Toronto. She curates journeys for those interested in mental health, self-recovery after abuse or difficulties, and supporting others in their decolonization path through the reconnection to Indigenous practices, art, and inner connection. Their therapeutical and creative practice is connected to her Spiritual Path and grounded in the indigenous reclamation journey of her First Nation ancestors of Anahuac, Mayan Peninsula, and Sierra of Nayarit, Jalisco, and Queretaro.
Vero believes in the power of listening and birthing our Truth via our own stories and the emergence of our most authentic innate nature which includes our ancestral lineages. She promotes art-making as freedom and belonging.
Vero is Traditionally Trained with Elders in Womb Medicine and Spiritual Earth-Based Teachings. She is also a Reiki Master, ThetaHealer, and completed her Masters in Environmental Studies (MES) at York University in Latinx Transformation & Decolonial Art Practice.
Their expertise is to guide others to revitalize, connect to Spirit, and the emergence of the wise inner voice. In other words, making spaces for all ages to allow the process of self-recognition and invites them to see art-making and art itself as the communicator of deep desires, what is unspeakable, and what has been hidden through layers of ancestral and personal trauma, pain, or illness.
