Sasha's background of lifelong musicianship created a strong foundation for her unique style of electronic production and live dj performances. She combines many elements, learned from her vast variety of musical experience, to offer a truly innovative type of artistic expression.
Her popularity with spiritually focused dance crowds comes from her unique hybridization of original production featuring her live vocals and flute playing with carefully selected inspirational dance tracks from various artists from around the world. Her performances flow from celestial grooves to tribal world rhythms to down tempo dance dub to collective ascensions to higher realms. Sasha is one of the most sought after dj's for Ecstatic Dance and Ecstatic Dance styled events throughout California and beyond.

This week we have a VERY special meditation/sound healing by Verena Von Horsten who will be guiding/playing from 10:30-11am as well as after the dance for the 5-10 min sound healing. See below for details.

Sound Healing:
Verena von Horsten works as a Medium and Sound Healer. Her own journey made her discover how sound can heal our heart, our mind and our body.
After a long career in music, Verena decided to end her career as a performer and songwriter due to suffering from tinnitus after the passing of her younger brother. Simultaneously, spiritual gifts wanted to be acknowledged and applied in a sacred way. Both led her to the path of discovering therapeutic instruments to further her own healing and eventually use them later on to help others. Playing Crystal Sound Bowls as well the Shamanic Drum and singing is Verena’s unique specialty: by doing so she combines music with mediumship. Verena channels healing energy into sound as well information to pick up people on a soul level where she is led. Her voice opens the door to a place in our system where the healing sound allows to reconnect to lost parts of us and lets Divine Love flow into unpleasant or painful experiences. Verena’s craft provides a soothing foundation that makes us feel safe and able to connect with our very own Divinity. And safe to connect with other realms so that benevolent beings and passed on loved ones can communicate. Verena aims to connect people to that inner most sacred self and to other realms so that the experience with the Divine can establish itself on a daily basis; being connected in such a way that can help us to truly transform our inner and outer world into a more loving environment.

Guidelines for our dance
• BE PRESENT (no phones or cameras)
• NO TALKING (no talking on the main dance floor – soft voice/whispering is ok in the back of the room)
• EMBODIMENT (be aware if your body movement is causing danger or if your voice/sounds are disruptive to those around you)
• SUBSTANCE FREE (no intoxicants of any kind)
• CONSENSUAL (make eye contact and confirm a “YES” before engaging with others, respect others space - crossed arms, looking or moving away means “NO”)
• GROUNDING (no outside shoes)
• RESPECT (respect your own & other’s space, expression, and autonomy)
Starting in December, we will have dance 'fairies' available for anyone who needs to talk about anything (challenging or troubling) that happens/ed to them at the dance. Kerin Meri is our first dance fairie. If you don't know who she is, ask the host or others at the dance to point her out.
And, of course, as your host, NEVER hesitate to bring anything to my attention that you feel needs to be addressed. <3
DJ DZ brings the dance to the people and the people to the dance! Cause we can never have too much movement and liberation in our lives!
