A few points I’d like to highlight for anyone asking themselves “why ukulele?”:
- Ukulele is NOT just for Hawaiian music. In fact, in my classes we play MANY genres from the 1920s to the 2020s. Some of the material covered includes The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, David Bowie, Prince, Bruddah IZ, Garth Brooks, Jimmy Buffet, and even Guns N Roses and Led Zeppelin!
- Ukulele is a fairly inexpensive and easily transportable instrument. A decent entry level ukulele can be purchased for between $40 and $75 on Amazon!
- Ukulele is an easy instrument to start playing (even for those whom have never played an instrument), with some chords only requiring ONE finger!
- Gift Certificates are available for those looking to join with a friend!
