Founded in 1848, San Pedro is the colorful capital of Belize’s biggest island, Ambergris Caye. Way back in 1986, the world-famous singer Madonna visited San Pedro, which inspired her to write the hit song “La Isla Bonita,” San Pedro is a lovely town, and because it’s on an island, the most popular form of transportation is by bicycle or golf cart. San Pedro has everything a visitor might want, including resorts, hotels, restaurants, shops, night life, multiple activities, sightseeing, and of course Scuba diving and snorkeling.
San Pedro has its own airstrip with regular connections to the mainland as well as a water taxi dock with connections to Belize City and nearby islands such as Caye Caulker. Because San Pedro is a popular gateway to the nearby Belize Barrier Reef, it is home to fantastic Scuba diving/Snorkeling in the clear blue waters offering great conditions for beginners and some exciting diving/snorkeling for the more advanced adventurer. While in the water you’ll find an abundance of coral gardens, sponges, reef sharks, rays and small reef fish at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark Ray Alley and “Bucket list dive site, The Great Blue Hole”. For non-divers/snorkelers there are other popular activities in San Pedro for you including windsurfing, kiteboarding, sea kayaking, bird watching, fishing, sailing, among other things.

*This adventure includes 3 total dives/tanks including stops at the Great Blue Hole, Half Moon Cay Wall, and Long Cay Wall with lunch being served on the island of Half Moon Caye while enjoying some island time and a quaint visit to the White Faced Red Footed Booby Bird Sanctuary.
**10 divers/snorkelers are required for this trip to go and departs at 5:15am and is a full day
***Advanced Open Water Diver is required as well as a logged dive deeper than 80’ within 6 months due to the depth of the dive.
